A practice in self-aggrandizement. In lieu of constant and frequent self-deprecation, it is important to recognize one's greatness to correctly implement it. This painting marks a shift from clumsy monster to great entity of potential although the same clumsiness and bewilderment remains illustrated by the figure examining his hands. Within the stigmata and wound at the side, the artist likens himself to Jesus only in that he has bared himself and been accosted or betrayed amidst significant sacrifice.
